Goal reached; setting new goal07 Jul 2005 13:21 GMT28
WOOHOO! I made my goal! :-)  As of today, my ' trend weight' is 68 kg. :-)
I didn't realize it earlier, because I've recently reinstalled Windows,
and the decimal dot was a decimal comma again, which means the trend
weight didn't get calculated correctly, because I'd entered it in ...
brown rice in a rice cooker07 Jul 2005 13:21 GMT5
just out of curiosity, is brown rice supposed to have a little toughness to
it?
I have a great rice cooker that I was given as a present, and it makes white
rice perfectly.  Brown rice is a bit crunchier...
Getting back on the wagon after a "splurge" day.07 Jul 2005 03:55 GMT5
Last week I was pretty satiated and did not consume more than 1500 a
day, which is the maximum I have set for myself. The weekend wasn't too

for Fourth of July and splurged to about probably 2200-2500 calories,
Miniwheats v. frosted miniwheats06 Jul 2005 21:04 GMT12
Any thoughts??? Frosted miniwheats are cheaper, because I can get the
as a bag cereal (I guess they are more of a staple in our society)
And......well....I do kinda like the sugar frosting. Am I condemnin
myself to a lifetime of obesity?? Short circuiting my weight los
Convenient and healthy06 Jul 2005 20:51 GMT7
Does anyone have any suggestions for foods that are both convenient an
healthy. It seems to me that many of the foods that are the most easil
available and stored and require little or no prep are also the mos
unhealthy. Bread, cookies, candy all fit this description. What are th
Getting excited (and a little nervous...)06 Jul 2005 19:45 GMT7
Well tomorrow's the big day, my first walk for charity. I managed to raise
$10 more than my goal, so I get a t-shirt. Yippee! To be honest, I'm being a
little selfish. Not truly doing it just for the charity. The Lakeshore
Pregnancy Center is an excellent cause, but I'm really ...
Rewarding Yourself06 Jul 2005 19:36 GMT4
If some of you have signed up for the different weight loss programs such as
Weight Watchers, TOPS, and what ever the others are, could you share with
the group what these groups charge a month?
Thanks to the helpful comments and advice from Chris and others in the

Ice Cream06 Jul 2005 14:53 GMT2
If anyone has a juicer with a food mill attachment you can nake
delicious ice cream from pieces of frozen fruit. I cut fruit into
pieces that will feet the tube feed on my Omega 8002, freeze them on a
cookie sheet and feed them into the blank cone. I then add a little

Convenient and healthy06 Jul 2005 09:02 GMT2

have actually done the weight measurement filtering thing before. Wil
start again.
I am going to increase my fat intake, per your suggestion.

Food & Exercise -- 7/4/2005 (yesterday)06 Jul 2005 03:37 GMT8
A planned splurge today :-).  We went to the winery for their 4th of
July afternoon cookout, and then to our country club for an evening
cookout and fireworks.  I ate (and drank!) a lot at the winery and
then just ate sweets at the club.  I just couldn't face any more
