| Chicken feet for stock | 01 Nov 2005 00:51 GMT | 19 |
About a week ago, I asked about ways to use the leftover rotisserie chicken. Amy Ross and others suggested I make stock and use that to make soup. Today, my wife went to the grocery store and brought home a couple of

| diagnosis? compulsive overeating/bingeing | 31 Oct 2005 18:57 GMT | 31 |
I feel like I am a compulsive overeater. I know there's a "fat acceptance" newsgroup, but I don't feel as though I am fat (probably back to 140lbs now, whereas I was at my lowest at 131 two months ago, standing at 5'9"). i binge when i feel like i need to "conquer" things.

Went hiking today with my friend Mike & his friend Greg in the George Washington National Forest. It was an absolutely gorgeous day, and a beautiful hike. It was a 6.5 mile hike with 2200 ft. rise in elevation. This climb was virtually all in the first 2 miles, which

Not a very busy day. I spent that extra hour I gained with the time change resetting all the clocks in the house and planted some daffodil bulbs I purchases earlier this week. Hopefully they'll come up in the spring and not become food for the

Today was the last "Bike for the Health of It" ride for the year. In spite of the cold weather (26F) we had 43 hardy souls turn out for the 14 mile ride. It really was a gorgeous morning for biking - lots of sunshine and zero wind. The real lure might have been the breakfast ...

| Help with soda habit | 29 Oct 2005 23:54 GMT | 4 |
I've been a soda junkie all my life (I don't have a taste for diet sodas). More recently however, I've been spitting the soda out instead of swallowing it. I know it's not too healthy, especially for the teeth and/or gums to chew and spit out food, but is this acceptable for sodas

I picked my daughter up from her job this afternoon and headed to the mall for lunch and some shopping. I thought I needed a new battery in my Polar heart rate monitor but unfortunately it's dead :( This flu is really kicking my butt. After 3 days on medication I still feel

| Personal trainer question | 29 Oct 2005 12:59 GMT | 5 |
I'm posting this here because I can't find an "exercise" newsgroup. Is there anyone here that has a personal trainer? How much would one cost? I cannot motivate myself alone to exercise, but if I could have a personal trainer for three good workouts and weight trainings each week ...

I want to thank everyone here for the help and great suggestions on making chicken stock. I am going for my first stock this evening. I have just a couple more questions: We had baked chicken tonite. The carcass is cooling. Before dinner, I

| Week 21 Report - down another 2.6 lb - total of 42.7 lb so far | 29 Oct 2005 01:47 GMT | 2 |
This ended up being another good week, despite that little mid-week scare where my weight went up a bit and I felt "twinges of weakness". The numbers say it all: * Week 21 / Day 147
