Howdy all!
I have been offline lately -- recovering from surgery and so on.  I hope
that all of you are doing well and had a great holiday weekend!  I'm
back to my regurlarly scheduled program and I have a quick question for

Getting enough fibre?30 Nov 2006 16:32 GMT6
I maintain a fairly good diet, about 35 % protein, 20% fat and the rest
carbs.  Despite eating all whole grains and lots of fruits and veggies,
I find it hard getting enough fibre.  I'd like to get about 30g a day
but usually get between 18 and 25.  Is it worth my while taking some
Food & Exercise -- 11/29/200630 Nov 2006 12:23 GMT1
Went to the gym this morning.  Then, after having lunch at home, went
over to my friend's new winery.  DH and I are investing in the winery
and I went by to exchange some paperwork.  Other than that, haven't
done much constructive, but it's been a pleasant day :-).
Compliment!30 Nov 2006 04:54 GMT10
I was exercising at Curves yesterday (as I do every time my daughters are at
karate).  One of the women had just become a grandmother, and, as with women
everywhere, stories of labor and child birth were being shared.  One of the
ladies was talking about her friend, who had ...

Which Is BetterSome say28 Nov 2006 16:49 GMT8
I want to lose about five pounds. This month marks the beginning of my
11 th year on ASD and I have a question.
I've read eliminating a lot of decisions makes it easier to not think
about food. Others maintain variety fights diet boredom. What do you
Is overeating (being overweight) an eating disorder?28 Nov 2006 15:19 GMT4
When people discuss eating disorders they usually talk about anorexia
or eating and purging, but it seems to me overeating is the most common
and deadliest eating disorder. Just as people who seem too thin and are
unhealthy but do not recognize it, there are many more who are
It's That Time of the Year Again28 Nov 2006 08:07 GMT3
God willing, I'll be  entering either year eight of keeping off the
weight or containing it within a "two pound box." When fall falls, and
outdoor exercise time shortens I notice I hover at the top of the two
pound limit (I weigh evry day) and it's time to plug the leaky rowboat
Winter Bikers??28 Nov 2006 03:06 GMT10
I know many in the group bike for exercise and was wondering if you
bike through winter?
I belong to the local cycling club and there are a few rides scheduled
throughout the winter season.  I'm currently doing a couple of weekly

Can someone tell me whether Wombats live only in Australia,
or also on other continents?
Apart from zoos, of course.

I can hike again!27 Nov 2006 17:13 GMT5
I can hike again! I walked 7 miles in 2.5 hours. It's a minor
milestone, along with being able to fit into booths at a local
restaurant without sucking in my stomach, but it feels good. :)

Report from Boston27 Nov 2006 04:12 GMT13
Hi, people. I just wanted to touch base, even though I didn't post a
regular "weigh-in" report on Friday.
My family were VERY surprised when I showed up here in Boston! And
thanks to the person in the donut shop I-don't-know-where who led a
New to this.27 Nov 2006 03:31 GMT3
I am new to this forum but not new to weightloss. I have tried so man
things and the only thing I have found successful so far is " The G.I
Diet.". I lost 65 pounds on that one 2 years ago and have since gaine
back about 40 pounds. I am so discouraged with myself. My self estee
