| Latest NSV! | 03 Jan 2007 19:47 GMT | 4 |
Latest NSV: I can wear size 44 jeans and a 17 1/2 shirt! And amazingly enough, I haven't lost weight in a couple of weeks. Something is going on, but I don't know what it is.

Questions: For those that have both lost weight and maintained and have also permanently quit long term smoking (not necessarily at the same time) ... which of the achievements was the most difficult?

| Doug's Week 82 end-of-the-year report - past the 100 lb milestone and... goal! | 03 Jan 2007 02:36 GMT | 14 |
I gained almost a pound last week and then dropped it again - and more this week to lose 1.4 kg = 3.1 lb this week - a nice conclusion for the end of the year. And it means... ta dah! - that I have, after 82 weeks of never going off my diet even one time... reached the original goal ...

| It is time | 02 Jan 2007 16:18 GMT | 10 |
I quit smoking 15 months ago and am now ready to deal with the weight I gained on top of an already large body. I have a LOT to loose and I really don't feel like posting it as it is very depressive. I am just having a terrible time getting around now and it truly is time. Any

| Reached Year-End Goal | 02 Jan 2007 01:07 GMT | 7 |
I set a goal to be at 157 pounds by 12/31/06 and I made it! With 17 more pounds to lose, the end is in site. I feel better than I have in a long time, probably 4 or 5 years. No, I feel better than I did then, because of my sobriety now. OK, I feel better than I ever

| can anyone help me replicate this TJ product? | 01 Jan 2007 21:42 GMT | 11 |
I just tried Trader Joe's Apple Cranberry Fiber cake. It comes in a 6 pack of these not too tasty looking muffin cups, but each one packs 13g of fiber and only 80 calories, and I actually like them much more than the Fiber One I've been struggling to eat. They are vegan, and ...

| Food & Exercise -- 12/30/2006 (yesterday) | 01 Jan 2007 14:59 GMT | 4 |
Went to the gym in the morning, hung out at home in the afternoon, went to a dinner at the winery in the evening. This was a planned splurge -- though not as huge a meal as they sometimes are -- and partly to celebrate our wedding anniversary.

| Thoughts on (my) weight/exercise, and a question | 01 Jan 2007 13:55 GMT | 1 |
I'd accumulated a bunch of stressors between July 2004 and July 2006, and I got really, really tired and my normally perfect immune system took a dive. Somewhere in that time period I gained a bunch of weight. Before that I'd had a large frame but a healthy fat % (professional

| there's no place like home, there's no place like home... | 01 Jan 2007 06:21 GMT | 4 |
Yay! I'm home! Back from a 3 wk trip to Germany, I'm thoroughly tickled to be sleeping in my own bed once again. I'm so grateful to have the opportunity to experience Europe, but it has given me a much deeper appreciation for my humble home in the US.
