| Question | 28 Feb 2007 23:21 GMT | 3 |
I hate drinking plain water, so I bought some of the sugar free drink packets to add flavor to the water. Question: On the drink packets' box it states that it is a soft drink mix. So, can I still count it as water or do I have to consider it as a drink?

| Why walking? | 27 Feb 2007 05:45 GMT | 9 |
I've been reading the Dr. Oz book (name escapes me). In the exercise section, it recommends that no matter what, everyday, you should walk 30 minutes. This is in addition to 30 minutes of additional exercise, be it aerobic, strength training or stretching.

| rapid weight loss question | 26 Feb 2007 18:40 GMT | 16 |
I started my diet 40 days ago, and to be honest I wasn't following 'strict' diet, so every day or two I will pick a meal in one of the restaurants. The only difference in the last 40 days than before I started my diet

| Start of the week | 26 Feb 2007 18:38 GMT | 2 |
Did my Monday weigh in and lost one more pound. :) Not too discouraged by that number. I didn't work out at all over the weekend as we were working on our dining room remodel. So I feel pretty good about it. Even allowed myself a few slices of pizza on Saturday. :-P

| Do you count calories/fat in supplements? | 26 Feb 2007 15:36 GMT | 15 |
I am on a very structured, but healthy, weight loss journey, which includes taking a number of vitamins and supplements. My only complaint is that my daily 6 Flax Seed Oil capsules, 3 Fish Oil, and 4 CLA add up to 15 grams of fat, which is HALF of my daily allowance.

I'll let ya'll know when I get there... :-) Seriously, what I find is that I need to be super motivated by some goal in the near future that can only be attained if I keep my diet discipline. F.e., I want to drop to 10% BF in 6 months. Also I want to start going to

| Conflicting Accounts | 25 Feb 2007 19:02 GMT | 21 |
Okay, a few true or falses: 1) Is excess protein stored as fat, or excreted as feces? 2) Does eating close to sleep "promote fat," or does it help stave off catabolic processes?

It's rainy/snowy out so I decided to clean up and organize my clothes closet. Found a pair of Levi's that I was wearing last fall and for kicks tried them on.

| Food & Exercise -- 2/23/2007 | 25 Feb 2007 13:20 GMT | 5 |
Uneventful Friday -- just went to the gym, then spent the rest of the day at home. I'm dealing with a lot of stress today, as my mom looks to be in pretty bad shape -- trying to figure out if I need to move up my planned trip for next week. Fortunately -- from the diet
