| Got the new Elliptical | 04 Oct 2007 01:28 GMT | 2 |
My elliptical trainer came today. I bought the Schwinn 418. It was easy to put together, and I was up and running in under an hour. It's a great workout...much harder than just walking on the treadmill.

| Good fats bad fats | 03 Oct 2007 17:45 GMT | 4 |
I see a lot about fat this and fat that. These fats are "good fats", these fats are "bad fats". I'm having difficulty sorting this out in my head. Are there any decent (and hopefully not too long) primers on fats available on the Internet? I eat a lot of beef, for example, and I ...

| Diet Recommendations following stoppage of activity | 03 Oct 2007 15:17 GMT | 4 |
I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how I should change my diet. I'm an avid soccer player and am part of a competitive local club team. However, due to several injuries, I've "banned" from doing anything physical and have to take at least a month off (no physical

| < 1g, etc. | 02 Oct 2007 01:30 GMT | 1 |
What is the deal when a package is labeled as having 1g of carbs, 2g, etc? Does 1g mean >= 1 and <1.5? Or does it mean >= 1 and <2? I'm thinking that foods marked 0g and <1g can be less of a problem than foods marked 1g/serving. Maybe that 1g actually goes up to 1.9, meaning that ...

I have never bothered with this stuff. I'm no vegetarian! But our babysitter uses it in spaghetti that my daughter seems to love, so I picked up a bag of it. It is low in calories, high in protein and has a good amount of fiber. It seems to take on the taste of whatever you ...
